Here are the latest updates and improvements to the El Loco app and Web Portal.

Web Portal [v1.2 (2805)]

This update:

Web Portal [v1.2 (2386)]

The latest Web Portal release includes a major overhaul of the developer dashboard, account management tools, and, best of all, the Visual Context Editor.

Here are just a few of the notable changes:

  • Completely updated look-and-feel.

  • Updated Visual Context Editor to prepare for additional iPhone/iPad form factors. Yippee!

  • Updates to iOS element rendering and San Francisco font display in Visual Context Editor.

  • Fixed a bug where segments approved in a first-round translation did not remain approved in subsequent rounds.

  • Fixed inconsistencies with unapproved and overrun segment counters.

  • Improved permission system for locking/unlocking segments approved by 3rd party translators.

  • Improved ElLocoTalk messaging system to ensure full translator–developer communication.

  • Numerous improvements to error handling and notification displays.

  • Improved performance and other bug fixes.

El Loco App [v1.0.2039.0]

This update:

  • Fixed an issue where previous localizations in storyboards were not included in upload.

  • Fixed an issue where final translations could not be marked as accepted.

  • Added contact support button in the El Loco app toolbar.

  • Improved stability, error handling, and bug fixes.

Download the latest El Loco installer from the Dashboard or launch the El Loco app and follow the update instructions.

Web Portal [v1.2 (2214)]

This update:

  • Resolved an error when assigning translations to El Loco.

  • Fixed a problem with gathering Visual Context for some apps.

  • Fixed an issue preventing final translation submission during second round of translation.

  • Improved performance and bug fixes.

El Loco App [v1.0.1985.0]

With this release, we say “Goodbye!” to XTractor and “Hello!” to El Loco, the app. In addition to the name change, we’ve made a ton of tweaks, improvements, and fixes.

To get the latest and greatest, download the El Loco installer from the Dashboard. Before running the installer, please remove the XTractor app from your Applications folder by dragging it to the Trash. After installing the updated El Loco app, you’ll be able to pick up where you left off.

Among the myriad changes in this release, here are some of the notable ones:

  • Fixed a bug where empty files were being displayed during the second round of the Review Strings task.

  • Fixed an issue where visual context was not being collected when using Xcode 7.

  • Fixed an issue where multiple localization folders were being created instead of just one.

  • Renamed El Loco iOS library classes to include “EL” prefix to avoid naming collisions.

  • Fixed a problem with handling project folders with numeric names.

  • The El Loco app now displays the project list in alphabetical order.

  • Improved stability and bug fixes.
